Bartek Kaftański, Senior Training Specialist

at METRO SERVICES PL since July 2014

Bartek, how do you feel in an accounting company as one of the few non-accountants?

From my point of view, lack of accounting skills isn't an obstacle at all. Only at the beginning of our cooperation did I feel a certain barrier – I didn't understand all the accounting terminology.

What do you do every day, and what is a challenge for you in everyday work?

The first task on my list of daily duties is to design and conduct training sessions. I'm responsible for process trainings, such as process thinking, Excel, SAP. My second task is to prepare and conduct training needs' analyses. The good sides of the project? For the first time in my career I'm able to take on such a wide subject. For me it's an opportunity for development and proof of my superiors' trust in me. It's nice that I can create opportunities for development and answer people's needs and expectations. The fact that there's still a lot to be done gives me motivation. Thanks to this project, I have constant contact with leaders in order to complement their teams' competencies and support staff in their development.

Bartek, tell us how you came to Szczecin and from where?

I saw an offer on a popular web portal that was very interesting to me. I had doubts because Szczecin is a much smaller job market than Warsaw, where I'm from and where I had worked until then. One plus was that it's a multinational company. After coming I was surprised at how big the city is, with lots of options for a great life outside work. Besides that, compared to Warsaw there's less of a rat-race and professional competition. I came to Szczecin for the first time for my interview at MSERV. I was offered employment , took a risk and here I am.

What do you like in working at MSERV?

Right at the beginning I noticed the high level of the recruitment process, the very professional approach to candidates. That gives me the feeling that workers are well chosen for their positions, also as regards personality. Besides that – I appreciate the company's approach to staff, the lack of conflict and the fact that I can develop myself!

Thanks!
